We made it!

  We have finally made it! You are already halfway through this crazy school year! Perhaps even more importantly we are getting ready to say goodbye to 2020! You have done such an amazing job this year and we appreciate you so much. Now tune out and enjoy those around you, and virtually enjoy others. You have earned a vacation where you do not check email and you do not grade papers. Just relax and appreciate the simple things that make our lives great. Never forget how amazing you are!

  Now that you have been teaching remotely, or in-person, or both during a pandemic for over 6 months, it is easy to think "this is just how things are now." It is easy to still be hard on yourself when you don't get something done that you intended to, or when a video doesn't play, or you have trouble presenting your screen. If that should happen, I want you to say OUT LOUD, "I am teaching during a global pandemic. I have learned years of new pedagogy in months.
